Who am I? My name is Brett Woodmansee, a college student with a passion for writing and video games, and a growing passion for the fine arts of liquor. This includes craft beers, whiskey (or whisky), wine, and other liquors that are interesting to me. This website is meant to combine my love for video games and my developing and evolving appreciation for liquor. Won’t you join me as I explore my interests, with your favorite game, or glass in hand?
Here is where my weekly craft beer reviews and thoughts will be conducted. Every week there will be a new craft beer review, which will consist of a brief summary of the brewery to provide context and background info. It will be followed by my thoughts on the beer’s nose (smell), palate (taste), and it will be wrapped up in a short paragraph with my overall thoughts on the week’s beer. Occasionally, if an idea or opinion comes to mind, I will write my thoughts on something within the craft beer world!
Here is where I will conduct reviews for all types of liquor. Whether it’s wine, whiskey, rum, etc., I will try something that I already have or something that is entirely new to me. Similarly to my craft beer reviews, I will be examining the nose (smell) and palate (taste) of said liquor and provide a review or summary on what I think of the product. I don’t have much experience with liquor, and currently no experience formally reviewing it, so I’m excited to try new things and provide my thoughts as I delve further into the world of wine, the wonders of whiskey, and the riches of rum. While this will not be weekly, I would like to conduct a review at least once every few weeks or once a month.
One thing I’ve missed about writing has been doing video game reviews. Whether I love a game or not, I enjoy talking about why I feel a certain way about the game. I like sharing opinions and thoughts with friends and seeing where we differ in what we like or dislike about a game. Unfortunately, because of school, life, and work, my reviews will never be timely. But I’d rather write down my thoughts than say nothing at all. Video games are a wonderful thing, and what I think makes them so great is that everyone experiences something different. We all have different tastes and preferences, and it’s fun to read and talk about video games from varying perspectives.
This section is for my opinion regarding video games. Once a week, I will write about the games I have been playing, games I’m looking forward to, or anything that piques my interest about video games. Think of it as an informal, casual place where I express my feelings.
